Behind the recording studio walls

Updated: Feb 2, 2019

Over the last 3 years Sandesch has been getting more and more confident and gained experience in the recording studio.

How it all began. When Christoph was travelling in China, one of his friends from Inner Mongolia said: "Hey Christoph, don't you play guitar, my friend has a recording studio, how about you record a song tomorrow?" and that is how it all started. The next day the first song of Sandesch got recorded "Lied an dich" (which you can find on the album "Für dich." Since then Christoph has been traveling through most of the countries in south east asia and recorded his songs whenever there was a chance. Countries of recording session: China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and India. The list is growing and so is the music. It's exciting to be part of the process!

Recording at Kru Add's place. Here the magic happened, Kru Add, from the band "The Salor" from Thailand was willing to add some magic to the tone poem "Für dich." We had lots of fun, an all this on Christoph's birthday ; ) Can't get any better! Thank Nueng for the connections.

Neueg has been the first sound engineer with whom Sandesch has been working regularly over an extended period of time. After Christoph went through all the music stores in the old town of Chiang Mai asking if anyone knew a local guy with a recording studio, he finally found Nueng. Nueng was very eager to work together, besides the language barrier, working with Nueng has been great, easy and productive. He always gave Sandesch a little extra and Sandesch has been happy to support him and his family with wife "Ao" and his two beautiful little daughters. The many many hours in the recording studio turned into a great friendship!

After we finished recording Amedeo's voice to add the harmony to "Himmel hoch" we were happy to be back at the hostel.
